Expericenced Polysomnographic Technologist

Collect patients’ data; prepare patients for testing; monitor display for malfunctioning electrodes or sensors and logged observations of patients’ sleep.   Occasionally performed sleep studies as part of sleep research projects.   Make notes of disordered breathing events, arousals, PLMS, etc. for polysomnograms.  Perform CPAP/BiPAP (occasional ASV) titrations regularly.  Mask fittings regularly.   Suggest necessary repairs, need for equipment and supplies.  Occasional testing also includes seizure montage ( diagnostic or PAP) and multiple muscle (diagnostic or PAP).

Also requires to occasionally supervise DeVry students’ practicum for four weeks at a time, usually one student at a time.
