The Vice President, Virtual Care Growth is responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market and growth activities for ChenMed’s new virtual-forward line of business. The incumbent will be responsible for setting up the sales apparatus from scratch across all channels, to include a salesforce, brokers (e.g., e-brokers, digital FMOs) digital/direct-to-consumer, etc. This position is an impact leader who will scale the organization, and will “roll up their sleeves” to drive significant membership growth in the first 2-3 years in role.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Frames up and builds out the end-to-end sales process for this new line of business, to be as digitally-enabled and seamless as possible for the consumer.
  • Identifies the appropriate channels, messages, touchpoints and partnerships to generate and convert leads (in partnership with Marketing).
  • Builds and trains a team, comprising not only sales agents but also other members of the business (e.g., PCPs, Medical Assistants) – inspire them all to growth mindset.
  • Develops and executes a plan to drive member retention (in partnership with Marketing and Operations).
  • Develops a multiyear growth plan and set medium- and long-term revenue targets.
  • Develops and nurtures relationships with key partners/channels (e.g., plans, brokers, affinity groups).
  • Develops processes to gather and action feedback as part of a “test and learn” mindset.
  • Owns sales reporting and analytics to drive clear understanding of progress and areas of opportunity.
  • Identifies and executes synergies vis-à-vis ChenMed’s current business (on the basis of customer and/or business model segmentation) to drive enterprise-level sales and retention.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide at least 50% of the time
  • Spoken and written fluency in English
  • This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or Health Administration, Business Economics or a closely related field; additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years’ related work experience in sales with progressive advancement to a leadership role required with a minimum of ten (10) years’ direct managerial experience with full profit & loss responsibility
  • Experience managing a diverse group of employees, spanning experienced professionals to the frontline salesforce
  • Healthcare or other consumer-facing environment experience highly desired
