Description

The Mary S. Easton Center for Alzheimer’s Research and Care seeks a Triage Nurse to assume responsibility in triaging patients for evaluation and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The Triage Nurse will manage patient intake, assist with coordinating care and clinical research, and provide support and education for patients seeking care for cognitive, behavioral, and neuropsychiatric symptoms. You will receive referrals from the Patient Call Center, physicians, and self-referrals and triage cases to the appropriate medical specialist (Neurology Memory Clinic, Geriatric Medicine, or Geriatric Psychiatry) based on the primary complaint using clear protocols. Nursing assessment of situation and records is necessary to determine appropriate level of care and requires interpretation of symptoms.

Salary Range: $59.46 – $88.39/Hourly
