TC I: Current California Registered Nurse license, graduation from an accredited nursing program and a BSN or MSN degree with 5 years of relevant RN experience with a combination of critical care and or transplant experience
TC II: Current California Registered Nurse license, graduation from an accredited nursing program and a BSN or MSN degree with a CCTC and 5 years of relevant RN experience with a combination of critical care and or transplant experience
Prior experience with organ transplant candidate referral process, evaluation workup procedures and UNOS listing, preferred
Prior Liver Transplant experience, preferred
An ability to case manage all aspects of a transplant patient’s medical care from initial evaluation to post transplant follow-up; apply a broad understanding and knowledge of organ transplantation, including immunology, immunosuppression, rejection and other complications of transplantation, drug toxicity, and graft failure, preferred
Ability to teach about transplantation and medical management issues, preferred
Ability to walk/navigate throughout the Medical Center campus, including surrounding buildings. Frequent sitting and standing. Ability to lift packages and patient charts up to 25 pounds for distances to 10 feet. Strong typing skill necessary for large volume data entry into transplant database and Care Connect. Ability to handle high volume, high stress clinical environment, required
