  • POSITION PURPOSE: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the position.
    • Eagle Valley Behavioral Health (EVBH) collaborates with various community partners to improve behavioral health programs and outcomes for Eagle County. EVBH has developed several programs, IT systems, and channels of communication to support the infrastructure and administration of multiple behavioral health and community health programs. The EVBH and Population Health Systems Communications Manager is responsible for defining, cultivating, and maintaining those channels of communications between our partners and with the community to ensure behavioral health and community health programs operate effectively, efficiently, and securely for patients, providers, and community partners.
  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maximum of ten functions in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job’s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
    • 1. Maintain an in-depth understanding of all EVBH and Population Health IT system usability and program messaging. This includes internal messaging for all team members as well as public facing system updates, program and website change orders, and new service lines.

      2. Maintain a thorough understanding of all EVBH and Population Health programs and service lines, initiatives, IT systems and data to effectively communicate, engage and inform target audiences through various communication channels, including but not limited to website, social media, news articles, newsletters, journal articles and publications, brochures, podcasts, radio, etc.

      3. Provide information in a fair and impartial manner which is culturally and linguistically appropriate, and disability accessible, for the populations being served, including individuals with limited English proficiency. Ensure all communications are accurate and up-to-date in both English and Spanish by working with our bilingual partners.

      4. Works closely with marketing and public relations teams to identify opportunities to utilize media to communicate population health and behavioral health concepts, address stigma, enhance awareness, and increase access to community-based population and behavioral health services.

      5. Work with IT system developers, under the leadership of the EVBH Data Systems & Analytics Director, to review and test system change orders and upgrades to improve system processes and functionality and communicate those effectively.

      6. Work closely with all EVBH team members, and specifically the EVBH Operations Director, IT Data Systems Director, and EAP Coordinator, to ensure key messaging is aligned on websites, IT systems, and other channels of communication. Ensure websites and information systems align with both local, state and federal licensing requirements.

      7. Provides materials and direction to marketing to ensure proper inclusion of population and behavioral health messages in organizational materials, such as Vail Health magazine, brochures, and web pages, as well as specific development publications and online content.

      8. Refine existing content and develop new content specific to training and technical assistance to end users, patients, providers, community organizations, Vail Health employees and the general public when necessary. Develop tools and mechanisms to capture and utilize end user feedback to recommend future system upgrades and modifications. Use this feedback to suggest improvements to improve all things EVBH and Population Health.

      9. Introduce quality control measures so that EVBH and Population Health is communicating accurate and effective information to community partners and the general public for the best possible service and care at all times.

      10. Maintain, review, edit and update all content and messaging for all EVBH IT programs (Mountain Strong EAP & Olivia’s Fund, Partner Reporting Portal, Data Collection & Reporting, and EVBH Website) to adequately communicate instructions, informative process updates, program change orders, partner reports and dashboards.

      11. Login to a variety of EVBH and Population Health systems and provide routine updates, content change orders, new page creation, and anything else necessary to communicate with our audience when necessary.

      12. Collaborate with the Data Systems & Analytics Director and Population Health Data Scientist to better define information around specific data reports and dashboards from multiple EVBH and Population Health data systems. Make recommendations to improve EVBH data collection, quality and reporting, and how best to communicate that with our team, board and partners.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
    • Experience:
      • 7+ years of experience working with technology, HTML, CSS, and system communications.

        Ability to effectively manage communication projects and train end users about programs, initiatives, service lines, support and technical solutions. Have a deep and solid understanding of technical solutions, platforms, and communication channels.

        Ability to work within various Content Management Systems implementing content strategies and messaging solutions.

        Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team, both internally and with diverse community partners and stakeholders.
        ? Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

        Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write comprehensive reports and present findings both in writing and in person.
        ? Ability to handle multiple tasks, solve problems, think critically and work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited oversight.

        Ability to work well within the organizational structure.

        Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.

      • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Communications, Management, Management Information Systems, or related field.
