Qualifications
· Must have surgical technician certification from an accredited school or program.
· At least one year of experience in an acute care facility with experience in all surgical procedures.
· Working knowledge of the use, function and operation of all operating room equipment
·
Working knowledge of aseptic technique
·
Working knowledge of surgical procedures including anatomy and correct terminology
· Ability to move heavy objects, apply aseptic technique to use a variety of operating instruments and equipment.
· Ability to handle equipment carefully and safely, and stand for a long period of time.
· Ability to take call
