Description
Job Summary: The Surgical Services Academy will begin in July 2021 and will focus to prepare the post graduate RN for a career in the Operating Room. The RN assumes the role of student in training for the Operating Room by completing classroom and clinical training.
Education / Experience: Graduate from accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Licensure, Certification and / or Registration: RN licensure in North Carolina and American Heart Association BLS credential.

Essential Functions:
1.
Prepares for classroom and clinical work prior to scheduled meetings.2.
Completes exams on scheduled days.3.
Maintains clinical record of cases.4.
Maintains positive attitude in clinical rotations.5.
Provides age-developmental appropriate care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Guidelines for the age groups served when participating in patient care.
Work Environment:
