Description

Under the general supervision of the Practice Manager and the assigned faculty surgeon or surgeons, the incumbent will provide administrative and scheduling support for the assigned plastic surgery practice(s). Major duties include: coordinating new patient appointments; surgery scheduling, including coordination with co-surgeons from other departments, counseling patients on the scheduling process, and counseling patients on their financial obligations; obtaining pre-certifications /pre- authorizations, answering phone lines and triaging calls, maintaining patient records. 

Additional responsibilities include coordination of the practitioner’s clinic schedules, maintenance of academic and clinical calendars;  coordination patients in research studies; assistance with professional correspondence; scheduling and coordination of meetings, and lectures; maintenance of curriculum vitae; provide assistance with educational events; coordination of travel and preparation of itineraries. The Administrative Assistant III must be able to multi-task effectively and execute all tasks assigned by the practitioner(s) and the Practice Manager. The incumbent may be required to travel between multiple clinical locations.

Salary Range: $29.42- $42.14
