Summary
Position Summary
Responsible for the daily supervision of a multi-county transportation service. Responsible for the quality assurance and review of client transportation. Must interact with all levels of Medical Center Staff and Administration as well as contract entities and County representatives. Will execute and monitor all Medical Center policies and procedures, taking action as necessary. Will monitor and report vehicle fleet status. Responsible for report generation and data collection as necessary. In absence of Department Manager assumes responsibility and supervision of Supervisory staff and operations of the department.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma
Experience
- 3 years management experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in transportation delivery system
License/Registration/Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- No criminal history that would interfere with job duties

- Associate’s degree in management

Core Job Responsibilities
- Function as Chief Safety Officer for Agency Safety Plan.
- Must be able to function without direct supervision.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills and speak English fluently.
- Supervise the Dispatch and Scheduling Function of the Transportation Services for Demand Response.
- In absence of Department Manager Assume responsibilities of Supervision of Department
- Investigate Accidents as necessary
- Oversee Route Coordinators in Staffing and Vehicle Assignment of Operational Staff
- Ensure all Staff are in compliance with required Certifications
- Collect, Analyze, and make recommendations as to new contracts we may review as to staff requirements and operational costs.
- Monitor worked hours of staff and department expenditures to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
- Coordinate Special projects for agencies and SRHS as necessary and instructed.
- Must be able to withstand the stress and demands of an active management position.
- Must be able to work as a team member with peers, other departments, staff and administration.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
