Watertown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist. Responcibilites include meeting the needs of internal and external Hospital customers and supporting the unit by providing a variety of clerical purchasing function services such as maintaining files, composing purchase orders as well as a variety of purchasing functions including interviewing sales representatives, securing bids and quotes, selecting products and placing orders. Supervises Transportation/Courier Services. This individual performs in accordance with hospital standards and policies. Operates under limited supervision.
The Supply Chain Coordinator reports directly to the Supply Chain Director and is able to collaborate with the supply chain team. This position is expected to adapt to changing conditions and make purchasing decisions that are fiscally responsible. This position also requires knowledge of or the ability to learn multiple purchasing systems.
Min Associates Degree required in Business or health care related field.
in 3 year materials management experience required, preferably in a healthcare field.
Valid Wisconsin Drivers License.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Takes initiative/achievement oriented.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and behaviors.
Strong computer skills with data analysis.
Inventorying and ordering procedure knowledge.
Analytical and participative problem solving techniques.
Excellent organizational skills.
