We are currently seeking a full-time Supervisory Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Napa State Hospital located in Napa, California.

Available Shift

• Monday - Friday, 6:30am-3:30pm
• No weekends or holidays

Responsibilities

The Supervisory Clinical Laboratory Technologist will work under the general direction of the Pathologist and directs Laboratory Personnel of a large clinical laboratory. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supervising daily operations of the lab, performing advanced tests and benchwork as needed, resolving technical problems, training and evaluating staff, overseeing Quality Control and equipment maintenance, preparing administrative reports, adhering to all legal, licensing, JCAHO, CRIPA, and USDOH standards and expectations, and coordinating laboratory activities with the overall mission of the Medical Anclillary Services.

Qualifications

• Clinical Laboratory Technologist license or similar license of equal or higher level issued by the State Department of Health Services

• Clinical Laboratory Bioanalyst license issued by the State Department of Health Services

-- AND --

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of clinical laboratory work and the use and care of laboratory equipment
• Principles of effective supervision in directing, training, and evaluating the work of others
• Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check
