Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.
Min = $75,007.12
Mid = $97,509.26
Max = $120,011.40
Summary:
The Supervisor Plant Operations supervises the maintenance department, personnel, and support staff insuring a safe, efficient, cost effective operation of facilities. The Supervisor Plant Operations plans, designs, operates, maintains and disposes of equipment, performs loss prevention management, and serves as professional liaison between hospital and contractors during construction. Develops annual capital budget, strategy and hardware lifecycle plans.
Responsibilities:
Works with administration and department managers in developing plans for new and remodeled facility areas; interfaces with and represents administration with professional consultants and make recommendations on major repairs and required construction, i.e., solicit bids, analyze quotes, and negotiate final cost.
Manages production, workflow and time schedules of projects: schedules work; inspects work of staff; interprets blueprints, plans and specifications and codes.
Facilitates the development of a budget for cost center and the creative allocation of resources with budget limits (including personal, services, space, supplies and equipment) to accomplish the objectives of the organization to assure quality outcomes; manages budget control and job costs of projects; assists Manager in developing capital and operating budgets for section.
Facilitates program development; coordinates the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.
Maintains record keeping system on maintenance, preventive maintenance, remodeled and new construction projects; empowers personnel in documentation, record keeping, and statistical analyses.
Oversees the ordering of all maintenance and construction supplies for hospital and all off site facilities; oversees requisitions all supplies and materials for repairs and projects.
Ensures appropriate staff are available to meet the needs of the unit; providing input into the selection process; setting clear work expectations and coaching employees as needed for success; interviews, trains, mentors and evaluates work of crew members; makes recommendations for merit increases, time off, disciplinary actions and terminations; implements and interprets hospital and department policies and procedures; supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and construction projects; assigns staff and prioritizes projects; assumes responsibility for Department in Directors absence.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
