Description
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a part-time Clinical Therapist to join the UCLA Student Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Program. This is a program that provides comprehensive and compassionate medication management and therapy services to UCLA students who are enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). You will work primarily with patients with high acuity or chronic mental health issues. Primary duties include:
- Clinical evaluations of new patients
- Assessing suitability for outpatient therapeutic care and need for additional mental health services
- Individual, family and/or group psychotherapeutic treatment
- Formulating treatment plans which may include therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to outside resources/specialists
- Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, or psychotherapy
- Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical records (progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries)
- Providing consultation to peer clinicians or specific treatment
Salary range: $31.03/hr – $65.90/hr
