Qualifications
Required:
- CA LVN License
- Current and valid CPR certification with ability to administer CPR
- Possess IV therapy certification
- At least 2-3 years of experience as an LVN in an ambulatory setting
- Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures
- Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed
- Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers
- Keyboard literacy skills to access and input data in computerized logging systems
- Ability to accept direction from administration and act promptly
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, peers, physicians and administrators
- Ability to effectively elicit salient clinical information and making appropriate assignments based on established guidelines
- Skill in listening perceptively, conveying awareness and responding to patients and visitors with health concerns using tact and discretion
- Skill in preforming with frequent interruptions an/or distractions including the ability to accept equivocal circumstances and responds to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to maintain equanimity in the face of resistance, indifference and hostility
- Ability to push, pull or carry up to 30 lbs.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of the physician practice operations
- Working knowledge of EMR System (EPIC) Care Connect
- Spanish speaking skills
