About the job:

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide diagnostic and therapeutic speech pathology services to children and adults on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Provides prompt patient evaluations, screenings, and follow-up sessions or phone calls in the management of communication cognitive and/or swallowing disorders.

What you will do:

  • Maintains documentation on all sessions, meetings and contacts in the patient's charts and records all chargeable visits in the patient billing cards.
  • Communicates with other health care professionals on patient-related matters, including patient treatment, safety issues, and discharge planning/continuity of care.
  • Informs supervisor of all routine/unusual information or interactions affecting department operations and patient care, and advises on technical/clinical matters.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities and contributes to development of new programs/protocols.
  • Recommends needed supplies and materials and maintains standard care of all equipment.
  • Oversees and evaluates affiliating students.
  • Utilizes effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Promotes customer service to health care providers, patients, families, and community agencies.

What we are looking for:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current State of Ohio License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Prefer one-year experience.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Ability to function in a professional capacity with minimal supervision.
