SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY - Job Summary (general statement of purpose or objective of position)
Provides detailed management for the day-to-day operation of all food production units. Ensures compliance with Policies and Procedures and all regulations. Assists in coordinating selection, scheduling, training, counseling, evaluation and routine communications to staff to ensure high level customer satisfaction and quality standards. Prepares and supervises preparation of catered function items. Assists Executive Sous Chef in developing food preparation and delivery procsses. Acts as Executive Sous Chef in the absence of the Executive Sous Chef. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge, skills, abilities, license, registration, certification, education, and experience
Associate degree in Culinary Arts preferred. ACF Certified or Certification Eligible as a Sous Chef. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a large volume food service operaton. Combination of culinary experience (Sous Chef within 1 year of hire) and 5 years food management experience in a large facility will be considered. ServSafe Certified required within six (6) months of hire date.
