Position Summary

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Workforce Development Specialist to lead workforce development initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with educational institutions, business partners, and community organizations to create impactful student programs and career pathways, ensuring a robust pipeline of healthcare talent.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Communications, Marketing, Education, Business, or Social/Behavioral Science.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience, with demonstrated knowledge of adult education principles.
  • Proven experience in student programming, working with high school and college students.
  • Skilled in outreach strategies and building effective partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct engaging group presentations.
  • Experience working with diverse groups and individuals.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare, Communications, Marketing, Education, Business, or Social/Behavioral Science.

Experience:

  • 4-6 years in student programming with high school and college students.
  • Familiarity with workforce development programs and the myClinicalExchange workflow application.
  • Event planning experience for student-focused initiatives.

Certifications:

  • Career Development Facilitation (CDF) Certification.
  • Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP).

Core Responsibilities

  • Expand work-based learning opportunities within SRHS through interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Strategically place students in work-based learning programs to achieve organizational goals.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, industries, and community leaders through effective communication strategies.
  • Organize materials and resources for workforce development initiatives.
  • Identify funding and community resources to sustain and enhance programs.
  • Boost awareness and visibility of SRHS student programs through outreach and marketing efforts.
  • Lead special projects such as High School-2-Healthcare, Clinical Faculty Academy, and CNA programs.
  • Develop and maintain career pathways in collaboration with operational leaders.
  • Coordinate and participate in outreach events, tours, and meetings.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and gather feedback through surveys and assessments.
  • Act as the Project Search Liaison, promoting inclusivity and opportunity.
