Description

The Department of Medicine seeks a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator to support the UMIA Director’s global health research portfolio, focusing on data management, IRB submissions, co-authoring academic publications, and implementing research initiatives across UCLA and the Americas. The role emphasizes interdisciplinary research in public health, economics, sociology, anthropology, and policy, with a focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. Key responsibilities include coordinating data collection on topics such as women’s cancers, palliative care, health systems, and gender-based violence; managing literature reviews; assisting with research meetings; co-authoring academic papers; and providing administrative support for courses taught by the Director. The position involves outreach to global health leaders and may include travel to research sites. This role reports to the Director and works closely with the Director of Research Support for Global Health and Senior Manager of Business Operations.
