Job Description

LifePoint Health- Health Support Center

LifePoint Health has an opportunity for Senior Director, Revenue Cycle Management, Physician Services.

4 Positions available, 1 for each division: Eastern, Western, Mountain, and Central

Remote work location with up to 50% travel

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Revenue Cycle Management (“RCM”) has overall responsibility for RCM performance for the division.  The Senior Director, RCM provides strategic oversight to Physician Services Revenue Cycle Division operations and leads all RCM activities that contribute to leading and lagging revenue cycle metrics performance.   In addition, the Senor Director directly manages the division’s respective payer enrollment and payer credentialing performance and activities as well as payer underpayment reporting and analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Lead division RCM performance.

Oversight & responsibility optimal performance with all RCM metrics for each market and division

Compensate for and/or fill any market billing coordinator gaps

Optimize coordination, collaboration, and RCM performance with the market directors, billing coordinators, HSC support team and PMDS revenue cycle teams

Conduct testing, technical preparation, and provide support of all revenue cycle functions.

Work with market end users to triage and troubleshot system issues and work with HSC to provide training on the billing processes and workflows within the system when needed.

Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to build and implement Revenue Cycle applications through planning, scheduling, assigning, coordinating, and reviewing tasks performed by staff.

Monitor and manage the division and market revenue cycle metrics.  Work with the Market BC, HSC, and PMDS to develop plans of action to correct any metrics that fall out of the standard or goal.

Lead, oversee, and work with PE HSC team and Market Management to manage and reduce Payer Enrollment Holds (PE Holds and Cred Admin Holds) and timely completion of all work in this area.

Continual reporting, analysis, and resolution of systemic payer underpayments.

Continual identification and pursuit of RCM optimization opportunities

Continual assurance of billing and reimbursement regulatory compliance (including, but not limited to PBB billing, incident-to, shared services, etc.)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

Travel:

Moderate overnight travel (up to 50%) by land and/or air

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or Health Care Administration.

Experience: 10+ years of experience
