The Product Management Director will be responsible for partnering effectively with the Executive Team and other key stakeholders to develop strategic plans for new product development and/or acquisition that are aligned with the company’s vision and mission.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads organizational efforts to explore and develop products and services in support of existing and evolving business needs.
  • Works directly with the executive team, the CMIO and other IT leaders to develop, refine and maintain the technology and product strategy on a continual basis.
  • Works within and refining current product development and commercialization process (PDCP) model.
  • Works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and with external stakeholders, to include identification and partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), market segment leaders, and/or other business partners as appropriate.
  • Leads group of staff members.
  • Develops and delivers product/market/segment business plans - leading into each stage deliverables and broader commercialization.
  • Through market research and understanding of evolving business needs and market trends, identifies and documents opportunities for new products and services.
  • Works closely with business stakeholders to define and understand all requirements for existing and new products.
  • Develops the business case for all new products identifying the problem being solved and the expected ROI for the product development effort.
  • Documents all features for product development efforts including the phasing of larger projects inclusive of feature lists for each release.
  • Identifies the appropriate site or users to be the early adopters of new products. Works closely with them to identify bugs and key enhancements necessary to ensure complete product adoption by the entire enterprise.

  • A highly capable leader with strong business acumen, strategic insights and broad business experiences coupled with a proven track record of driving strategic, sustainable growth within a business.
  • Work well as part of a cross-functional team, demonstrate leadership and gain buy-in and action across an ambiguous, fragmented organization and multiple stakeholders, plan, execute and deliver on objectives and goals, communicate well to all stakeholders, and learn existing core market needs and current delivery offering quickly.
  • Partnership building skills to work with a broad group of business leaders to assess need and address both near-term and long-term priorities.
  • Strong competencies in core marketing principles and practices, with specific experience and skills related to product development and commercialization processes and customer engagement. Inquisitive and intellectually curious with strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Team oriented with the ability to partner across all functions within the organization.
  • Strong consultative and influencing skills
  • Fluent in English.

EDUCATION / SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience, with a track record of documented accomplishments in market/product management, preferably in a healthcare services environment.
  • Experience in high growth businesses with complex business models.
