Qualifications

*Current valid California Registered Nursing License required
*BSN required
*BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS required
*Specialty certification CCRN, C-NPT or other transport related specialty certificate required
*Minimum of three years tertiary level pediatric and/or neonatal critical care experience. Tertiary level Pediatric transport experience desirable.
*Must be able to pass initial and annual air physiology and aircraft training competencies.  Initial and annual competencies, clinical skills labs and simulation, initial and annual department competencies, and competencies and standards required by identified agencies and UCLA Health.
*Ability to complete a Nursing physical assessment
*Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress
*Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care
*Ability to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters
*Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork
*Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues
*Ability to use proper body mechanics outlined in the Safe Patient Handling and Movement Plan
