Job Description

Raleigh General Hospital

Work schedule will be every Friday, Saturday, Sunday -or- Saturday, Sunday, Monday at an accelerated rate for the program.

Sign on Bonus Structure:

$5,000 Sign on Bonus for New Grads

$10,000 Sign on Bonus for 1-2 Years Experience

$20,000 Sign on Bonus for 2 or More Years Experience

Provides direct patient care utilizing nursing processes in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Treats medical, surgical, telemetry and oncology patients requiring nursing care, including assessment, problem identification, pre-operative assessment, pre and post operative care. Initiates life saving procedures, providing emergency care for each patient and palliative care to terminal patients.

Performs assessment skills.

Plans nursing care. Documents to reflect plan of patient care, interventions, change in condition, assessments, etc.

Intervenes with appropriate action after needs are identified.

Evaluates the assessment, planning and intervention process.

Demonstrates professional and personal development.

Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served including adult and geriatric patients.

Reports to: Department Director

FLSA: Non-exempt

 

Work schedule will be every Friday, Saturday, Sunday -or- Saturday, Sunday, Monday at an accelerated rate for the program.

Requirements for the program will be that the employess will be granted off 4 weeks annually per request for paid time if requested. Additional requirements and agreements will be signed for this program.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

x Graduate of a Program in Discipline □ Preferred x Required

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days

Required Licenses[West Virginia, United States] Registered Nurse
Current licensure by the WV State Board of Nursing
