Job Summary: Job Summary: Provides oversight, coordination, and clinical leadership to Respiratory Care by demonstrating research-based and demonstrated best practices in clinical and leadership skills in providing patient care. The Respiratory Care Coordinator is a member of the CMMC Nursing Leadership Team and serves as a leadership representative with commensurate authority in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
The Respiratory Coordinator is responsible and accountable for supporting the staff in the delivery of patient care, taking into account the biophysical, psycho social, environmental, self-care educational and discharge planning needs of the patient, family and/or significant other(s). Acts as a leader, innovator, and change agent in the pursuit of improving respiratory care practice, customer service, and in the delivery of quality patient care. Acts as the patient's advocate, coordinates and facilitates all resources necessary to ensure clinical needs are met and outcomes achieved; promotes teamwork with staff, physicians, and personnel in other departments and supports the values of CMMC.
Requirements: Current State of Maine Respiratory Therapist Licensure. Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy. Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification. Current ACLS, PALS and BCLS certification. Clinical, Supervisory and management experience.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
