The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a federal agency, is requiring COVID-19 vaccination of staff at health care facilities that participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Summary

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for the registered nurse and support staff.  Collaborates with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Medical Center culture, Vision, Mission and goals.

It is the premise of the Professional Practice Program that each of the key responsibilities builds on the preceding requirements.

Our Emergency Center at Mary Black has 24 beds and sees about 115 patients a day.  Our Nurse to patient ratio is about 1:4, sometimes 1:5. It is a fast-paced environment with a lot of teamwork, and a great group of people.  They are very professional and have a great patient experience.  We run in a fast paced environment with a lot of teamwork, the team could not function like it does without the teamwork we have built internally.  If you have ever been a waiter, waitress or bartender, this could be the perfect department for you, we are fast paced and are very focused on customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

 

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of recent R.N. experience within the past 5 years preferred.

 

License/Registration/Certifications         

  • Current R.N. licensure in the state of South Carolina
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC
