Radiology (PACS) Software Support Administrator

The PACS Administrator Position is integral to the Imaging Services team with cross-functional responsibility for the RIS (Radiology Information System) and the PACS (Picture Archiving Computer System). Duties include daily administrative support, maintenance and user training if the aforementioned systems.
This position will act as a liaison between the informatics’ team and the imaging department to maintain stable, functional and progressive software applications. Software updates and related unit testing to include quality testing on an ongoing basis. Quality control measures along with policy and procedures are to maintained and updated monthly. The PACS Admin is expected to be knowledgeable of customer needs and provide educational resources.
You will have a minimum of one year of experience supporting Radiology and Imaging information and archiving system software. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. ARRT or NMTCB certification highly desireable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:
1. Demonstrates an understanding of the CMMF Information Systems defined as
clinical applications and integration throughout the enterprise
2. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the RIS and the PACS and how they
support the organization.
3. Support the implementation of the RIS and PACS across the enterprise.
4. Educate staff and other customers utilizing the system while looking for avenues
to maintain awareness of the importance of the electronic system for patient
medical imaging record access.
5. Assist in the maintaining and the build of daily database files for both the RIS and
