Project Coordinator, Federal Grant
Spartanburg, SC
Connect Spartanburg is an adolescent health initiative at Spartanburg Regional Foundation. Goal of Connect is to improve the holistic health and wellness of Spartanburg County teens and prevent teen pregnancy. This is achieved by working with local entities to build community capacity, increase awareness of adolescent health issues, leverage large scale resources, evaluate effectiveness of community model, and break down barriers for teens through systems thinking. This position will serve as the communications and marketing lead. Goal of the Adolescent Health Community Coordinator is to ensure Connect is a trusted brand and source of information for parents, parents/caregivers, and teens.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience
- No less than 2-4 years experience in leading large-scale communications plans for community initiative
Preferred Experience
- No less than 2-4 years’ experience in leading large-scale communications plans for community initiative focused on a public health issue.
License/Registration/Certifications
- N/A
Project Coordinator Core Job Responsibilities
- Development and Implementation of Connect Spartanburg’s Communication Plan
- Distribution of Connect Spartanburg communication efforts to parents/caregivers, teens and parents
- Maintain ConnectSpartanburg.org with community partners
- Oversee, develop and maintain all social media accounts for Connect Spartanburg (IG,FB)
- Oversee and manage Connect Internship Program in local high schools, Connect Ambassadors, Youth Listening Campaigns and Link Ups
- Design and launch public health campaigns in collaboration with Connect Interns
- Design and launch parent engagement campaigns in collaboration with local partners
- Published reports defining the efforts of Connect to Community Advisory Board and Funders
- Supervise volunteers for Connect Spartanburg
- Other duties as assigned
