Working Hours:  8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Summary:

The Planned Giving and Major Gifts Officer will report to the Chief Development Officer (CDO). Responsibilities include building and strengthening relationships to increase philanthropic support for Baptist Health. Focusing on securing planned gifts and major gifts that support Baptist Health Foundation’s (BHF) mission and strategic priorities. Identifying, cultivating, growing, and soliciting major gifts and planned giving gifts to current donors, past donors, and prospective donors of BHF who can make contributions of $10,000 and more. Strategies will include visits with prospects, stewarding current donors, and proposal writing, etc. Conducts in-depth prospect research. Collaborates with the entire team to bridge the gap from annual donors to major donors and planned gift donors with moves management strategies. Assist in BHF events, as needed. Will supervise the Data Analyst Officer.

Other information:

* Must have a Bachelor's degree. * Minimum of 6 years of experience in planned giving, major gifts fundraising, or related field. * Demonstrated success in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, securing, and stewarding donors in planned gifts and major gifts. * Strong understanding of estate planning, charitable giving, and other planned giving vehicles. * Work requires problem solving and conceptual skills using data to make recommendations and implement major and planned giving strategies. * Work requires strong oral and written communication skills, superior interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a wide variety of Baptist Health employees, physicians, prospects, and donors, and the excitement and ability to speak knowledgeably and persuasively on behalf of Baptist Health to donors and potential donors. * Work requires strong organizational skills, meeting deadlines, responding promptly to donor requests for information, and managing the demands of multiple projects. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Google Workspace. * Working knowledge of Crescendo Interactive is preferred. * Knowledge of fundraising database system, Raiser's Edge, is helpful. * Must be willing to travel to other Baptist Health locations, make visits to donors and prospective donors out of the central AR area, and on occasion may need to spend the night. * Must be able to work some night and weekend events. * Proven ability to develop strong professional business relationships. * Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and in collaboration with others. * Ability to relate well and work effectively with all demographics and backgrounds. * Must have demonstrated the ability to keep strict donor confidentiality. * Commitment to the mission and values of Baptist Health and Baptist Health Foundation. * A current valid driver's license and safe driving record is required.

 

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
