The Pediatric Echocardiographic Technician, under the supervision of the UCLA Cardiac Imaging Medical Director, Operations Director and Manager, performs various echocardiographic studies, including 2-D, M-mode, Doppler, stress, fetal and transesophageal echocardiograms. They work independently, performing and interpreting these studies, while notifying physicians of urgent results and preparing preliminary reports. Duties also include administering IV contrast, inserting IV catheters, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate charge capture for echo studies. Technicians assist in additional patient care tasks and must be available for on-call duty, with responsibility for patient safety and communication with medical staff. The role is suitable for new graduates with less than three years of experience.
Salary Range: $48.78 – $64.41 Hourly
