Position Summary: The Revenue Cycle Patient Access Analyst position facilitates the integration of information systems (IS) and knowledge to support the patient access staff in decision making, design, education and implementation. Assist the director in establishing KPI, trending and tracking through reporting. Providing knowledge and expertise with selection of new applications. Assist as a liaison between IS and patient access and work collaboratively with departments within the revenue cycle and the practices.
The Patient Access Analyst (PAA) has the knowledge with system applications to assist with the evaluation and integration of new applications as they support the overall goals of Patient Access and the Revenue Cycle. The primary role of the PAA is to support the director in establishing KPI, trending and tracking though reporting. Working closely with the areas of patient access to insure optimal use of applications. Assisting with identifying areas of risk and opportunities. This position partners with the director, managers clinical leadership providing the analysis of workflow process (current and future state) and gap identification required to support the applications that will automate and improve the current system. The PAA works with the team on phases of application implementation, systems analysis, and assists with development of procedures. It is expected that training materials will be routinely reviewed and periodically updated training and onboarding new staff. The PAA will support all areas of Patient
Access and various workgroups.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or 5 years equivalent experience
4 years' experience in patient access for revenue cycle required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to generate reports and extract data
Strong understanding of relational databases
Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze data and report findings
Effective communication both verbal and in written
Ability to work collaboratively
