Currently hiring a Certified Surgical Technician for Jefferson Methodist Hospital in South Philadelphia.

Must meet all Minimum Requirements:

  • 5- 8hour shifts per week
  • Rotating between day and night shifts
  • Weekend and holiday rotation
  • National Certification Required (NBSTSA or similar)
  • Minimum 1 year of applicable experience
  • High School Diploma 
  • Completion of an accredited OR Technician training program OR Honorable Discharge from Military Service in the Primary Specialty of Surgical Technician
  • BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

CSTs assist in the following types of surgery:  Orthopedics, ENT, Maxillofacial, Spine, Neuro, Hand, Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic, Transplant, Urology, Gynecology, Plastics, and General.

Conditions of Employment

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act,  including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check.  The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
