Summary

Position Summary

 

The program coordinator of the women and children’s services will manage the Choose Well initiative. This position promotes policy, services, and infrastructure that effectively address unintended pregnancy in South Carolina through access to contraceptive care.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education

  • Graduate of approved school of nursing bachelorette program

 

Experience

  • 5 years of Women’s healthcare experience

 

License/Registration/Certifications        

  • Current R.N. license

Core Job Responsibilities

 

  • Facilitates evaluation and coordinates information exchange and analysis between health services and administration
  • Develop procedures related to contraceptive care service delivery
  • Evaluates reimbursement for services for contraceptive care and mares recommendations for improvement
  • Provides professional and administrative consultation to agency staff
  • Assists with community outreach marketing in the hospital and external stakeholders
  • Determines methods of implementation and accomplishing initiative strategies, activities, and tasks
  • Provides analysis of data regarding services and achievements of objectives
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of existing training efforts and revises training plans based on evaluation data
  • Authorizes the appropriate use of grant funds based on analysis of data and understanding of model’s in the area of contraceptive care
  • Maintains professional knowledge of evidence-based programs and best practices in health system and policy changes to educate internally
  • Serves as a technical expert and as a resource to leadership in the Choose Well Initiative
  • Prepares status reports and communications progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones, and other key project metrics to project stakeholders and agency management
  • Guides team members in development and ensures proper work methods, techniques, and the understanding& application of rules and regulation
  • Will determine what training/education is needed and by whom and coordinates that service
