Job Description

We are offering an excellent part-time opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to provide health care services to our Veterans assisting with Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disability Examination (VBA MDE) in Jacksonville, NC. We will accept current licenses in any state from approved list. 

Schedule: Part-Time (must be able to work every other weekend)Length of Appointments: 45 minutes to 3 hours (depending on # of disabilities being claimed)

Average Appointments Per Day: 4
Role Specifics: Common exams include: musculoskeletal, cardio and respiratory. Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on-site or nearby. Research may be required for certain disability claims

Requirements for NP:

Current, unrestricted license in either the State you will be practicing in or other approved states.
Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required

 

 Due to contractual obligations with the DoD, Health Care Workers performing under this contract must either be a U.S. citizen, or as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, either a noncitizen national of the United States, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or alien authorized to work in the United States
