Performs duties of an MRI Technologist to achieve efficient, high quality patient care.

Education:

1) High School graduate or its equivalent and Graduate of an approved two year radiologic training program.

Experience:

1) Previous work experience in MRI preferred. In lieu of MRI experience, may consider individuals with two yrs work experience with cross sectional anatomy. If the above qualifications cannot be met, other individuals may be considered and education/training will be provided.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

1) Must have demonstrated leadership skills; the ability to function as a team member; and the ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with patients, staff members and physicians.

License/Certification/Registration:

1) Registered with the ARRT. Meets continuing education requirements set forth by the ARRT.
2) Obtains advanced registry in MRI within one year after completing orientation/training.
3) Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
