Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, monitors rhythms on the central receiving station, at all times, for patients of all ages.  The Remote Telemetry Monitor Technician identifies patients’ rhythm, labels, interprets and documents rhythm strips each shift.  The Telemetry Monitor Technician communicates all changes in baseline rhythm to the RN assigned to the patient and secures a strip for documentation.

Previous telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience preferred.  Knowledge of medical terminology required.  Data entry experience required.  High School Diploma and cardiac arrhythmia course required.  CPR certified through the American Heart Association.  Successful completion of administered arrhythmia test with score of 90% or higher
