Summary:
Medical Technologists II provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses with little or no supervision. The Medical Technologist's II job includes preparing the samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation, performing numerous complicated tests simultaneously, accurately interpreting the results in a timely manner in order to enable the clinician to utilize the data when making treatment decisions, serves as a mentor and resource to fellow co-workers, and assumes at least one defined additional duty.

Other information:
1. Successfully meets all standards of a Medical Technologist I.
2. Has at least 12 months clinical lab experience.
3. Completes training in at least one additional rotation.
4. Has less than ten QA errors in a rolling 12 month period.
5. Works efficiently under supervision of experienced personnel.
6. Has obtained the minimum required CEUs (equivalent to one CEU per month up to 12 CEUs
for previous year of BH employment).
7. Must successfully complete or be actively pursuing national registration (ASCP or equivalent).
by the end of the first year of employment as evidenced by a scheduled test date.
8. Completes a promotion project approved by the Career Ladder Committee.

This job will be authorized 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
