Working Hours:  6a-6p

Summary:
Medical Technologists provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses with little or no supervision. The Medical Technologist's job includes preparing the samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation, performing numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately interpreting the results in a timely manner in order to enable the clinician to utilize the data when making treatment decisions.

Other information:
BS in Medical Technology or Bachelor's degree with a Certificate in Medical Technology from a nationally accredited program. National Registry for Medical Technology (ASCP or equivalent) or registry eligible. Must successfully complete or be actively pursuing registration by end of first year of employment as evidenced by notification of scheduled test date. Must possess language, math, and reasoning skills which allow for the analysis, interpretation, and valid conclusion to be made during data collection and during mechanical or scientific procedures. Must be able to effectively present gathered data orally or in writing to management or regulatory agencies.

This job will be authorized 0.01 hours bi-weekly.
