Your Job:

This position has clinical authority over the infection prevention and control program and is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive infection prevention & control program for the hospital staff, patients, physicians, volunteers, students, and visitors.  All programs will be conducted in accordance with hospital philosophy, objectives, policy and procedures, Joint. Commission standards, regulatory requirements and professional standards.

Your Job Requirements:

  •   Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Medical Technology or other related field required.
  •   Masters Degree in Nursing, Public Health or other related science field preferred. l
  •   Current licensure required (eg, Nursing, Medical Technology)
  •   Certification as Infection Prevention (APIC)
  •   Three years of experience participating in a hospital-based infection prevention and control program consisting of       surveillance, education of staff, data analysis and aggregation of consistent epidemiological practices.

  •   Oversight of suveillance, prevention and control activities, analysis and reporting of data and edcuation of healthcare     workers regarding key components of the program.
