Overview

The Lung Nodule Program Coordinator is responsible for formulating short and long term strategies to ensure the organizations vision, missions and values are carried out through the delivery of high quality cost effective patient care for the Lung Nodule Clinic with high level integrity. Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team and provides/facilitates nursing expertise in pulmonary services. Performs the functional roles of educator, patient advocate, consultant and liaison.

Qualifications

Education

 

1) Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

 

Experience

 

1) A minimum of 3 years of progressive relevant experience in healthcare environment.

2) Previous experience in Pulmonary, Oncology or Diagnostic Imaging required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

 

1) Position requires someone comfortable with patient contact and performing as an advocate.

2) Teaching is expected to be a significant element of the position, families, staff and local associations.

3) Demonstrated comprehensive theoretical knowledge base, expert skill in managing patient follow up.

4) Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.

5) Demonstrated ability to manage database.

6) Demonstrated high level of autonomy.

7) Demonstrates exceptional skills in working with others.

8) Articulates well in a variety of communication situations.
