Lead Surgical Technologist

What You Will Do:

Under limited supervision, the Lead Technologist is a multi-skilled individual who demonstrates advanced knowledge and proficient practice in their surgical subspecialties. Participates in a wide variety of clinical tasks/ procedures for the patient as a member of the patient care team.  Provides any basic patient care duties and participates in tasks to assist with the progression of the patient’s plan of care within their scope of practice, as well as planning and support for specialty. Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures for surgical services. Provides service specific orientation for the scrub role.  This includes documentation of progress and feedback.  Serves as a technical resource.  The Lead Technologist will work collaboratively with the Service Line Coordinator of specialty.  Patients served include infant through adult-older adult.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
  
• Successful completion of an accredited technologist school required.
• Minimum of two (2) years directly applicable technologist experience required.
• BLS required.
• Knowledge of Medical terminology.
• Must be able to communicate both verbal and written in English.
• AST is required.
