Description
The Public Mental Health Partnership (PMHP) is seeking to hire a full time Lead Community Mental Health Trainer (CMHT). In this role you will develop, conduct, and assist in the evaluation of trainings for Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) mental health professionals working in the Homeless Outreach and Mobile Engagement (HOME) and Full Service Partnership (FSP) teams. Trainings are on evidence-based treatment approaches for adults with severe mental illness in Los Angeles County. The Lead CMHT will also be responsible for providing technical assistance to community providers working on theses teams. Trainings may address topics such as, trauma, improving access to mental health services, and enhancing engagement with complex clients experiencing homelessness. Trainings may also include modules on quality monitoring, quality improvement, and program evaluation including using qualitative and quantitative data.
Duties performed by the Lead CMHT will include:
- Determine training, technical assistance, and program model needs among providers working in publicly funded intensive field-based mental health, homeless, and co-occurring service teams
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and quality improvement of provider trainings
- Compile relevant trainings used in other treatment contexts, evaluating their relevance to Los Angeles County, and considering implementation with partners
- Lead training projects, including task supervision and mentorship to other training staff
- Consult and create DMH program improvement goals and action steps aimed at addressing administrative or clinical challenges presented by DMH providers
- Develop and implement quality assurance and improvement activities for all facets of PMHP program delivery
- Plan and supervise the development of a portfolio of intervention materials including manuals, online and skill-building group curricula for providers such as training videos, identification of relevant peer-reviewed research articles, popular media, and other training materials
