We’re looking for talented professionals to join our Imaging Team at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center — named Top Workplace in the Baltimore area by the Baltimore Sun in 2019.   

Under the direction of the Director of Radiology, the Manager will assess and direct the implementation of staffing, departmental or procedural changes. The Manager performs administrative duties of supervision within the department, and is responsible for directing daily departmental activities, technical staff, and ancillary personnel. Will work as a Radiographic Technologist, when necessary, to complete the daily work schedule in order to maintain our goal of providing quality patient care and service. The employee will demonstrate a professional approach in their work, with emphasis on patient care and in their technical abilities to complete requested exams promptly, while still maintaining patient safety. Be responsive in the need to promote and use proper radiation safety principles, both for the safety of the patient as well as themselves and co-workers. Patients served include infant through adult-geriatric.

What You Need to Be Successful:

Minimum Qualifications: High School degree or equivalent required. Graduation from an approved and accredited radiologic educational program required. Registration from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists and license as a Medical Radiation Technologist in the state of Maryland is required. Three years of supervisory experience in a radiology department is required. Strong technical knowledge in field of radiology. Strong organizational and managing skills. Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with physicians, patients, and hospital staff. Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.

At the height of COVID, I had actually joined the hospital as a clinical extern, and upon obtaining my license, I decided to join full-time. One of the reasons why I chose to join full-time was because, as a new grad, it was very important for me to have my voice heard and appreciated, which I definitely feel at this hospital. And in addition, it is a huge plus to have all the up-to-date technologies and equipment readily available for me to utilize. I love working here, and as a new grad, I couldn't have chose a better place to work.
