  • POSITION PURPOSE: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the position.
    • Under the direction of leadership, the HR Onboarding Specialist will assist in all aspects related to the onboarding of new employees. The Onboarding Specialist is the main point of contact for all new and transferring employees and will also support other HR initiatives.
  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maximum of ten functions in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job’s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
      1. Creates offer letters, conduct reference and background checks.
      2. Prepares, gathers and assembles required documents and licenses for employee on-boarding.
      3. Assist with facilitation of new hire orientation by preparing new hire packets, assisting with setup, processing employee badges and entering new hires/travelers into the HR payroll system.
      4. Facilitates 30 – 60- 90-day check-in surveys with employees after orientation and will assist with coordination of exit interviews and reporting.
      5. Oversee the Corporate Volunteer Program by developing communication and processing applications.
      6. Works to create and maintain position descriptions in applicable electronic systems.
      7. Assist with tracer audits, attends job/career fairs with TA to generate qualified applicants and other ongoing HR projects.
      8. Oversees Transfer process of Internal Applicants and necessary paperwork.
      9. Assist with sourcing and referring qualified applicants to Talent Acquisition Recruiters.
      10. Provides impeccable customer service to external and internal employees and new hires. Acts as the backup for the front desk as needed.
      11. Role models the principles of a Just Culture and organizational values.
      12. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
    • Experience:
        • Two years of human resources or recruitment experience required.
        • One year experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications and applicant tracking systems preferred.
        • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
        • Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
        • Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.

        • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
    • Computer / Typing:
        • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Must be comfortable working with various software programs and be proficient with MS Office suite.
    • Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
    • Education:
        • Bachelor’s degree preferred
