The Housekeeping Tech cleans patients rooms, ancillary areas, and specialty areas such as , Urgent Care and Physician offices according to established procedures. Tasks include but not limited to collecting soiled linen and trash, performing daily and discharge cleaning disinfecting rooms including all non-patient areas and items making sure to cover all high touch areas thoroughly, making beds, mopping, low and high dusting, disinfecting technical equipment as assigned . Assist with training and orientating new personnel. Will move beds and other non-technical equipment as required to complete discharge cleaning, will remove and hang cubical curtains as required. Performs responsibilities in compliance with all Infection Control policies and practices and safety regulations and precautions. Reports unsafe conditions and equipment or building repair required. Documents daily tasks and times as requested. Attends departmental meetings and in-services as required. May be assigned to a laundry tech assignment or assist with a Tech II assignment. All other tasks as requested or required.
This position requires BLS within 60 days of hire.
