St Francis Hospital

The Residency Program Coordinator will assist with administering and maintaining a learning environment conducive to educating the residents in each of the ACGME competency domains.  Will develop and oversee a process to evaluate candidates prior to approval as program faculty members for participation in the residency program education and at least annually thereafter, as outlined in the ACGME Program Requirements for Graduate Medical Education in Internal Medicine.  The position will ensure the program's compliance with the Sponsoring Institution's policies and procedures, grievances and due process.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

A minimum of an Associate’s degree, or equivalent is preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

Two (2) years of project or work experience in a healthcare, education or accreditation organization in a coordination role responsible for system and process development.

PreferredFive (5) years of work experience in a healthcare, education or accreditation organization in a coordination or management role responsible for system and process development.

Three (3) years of Internal Medicine or appropriate sub-specialty

Required SkillsRequired critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Collaborates with the Program Director to ensure the program(s) meet or exceed ACGME accreditation standards

Assists/Manages the administrative duties of the GMEC

Ensures compliance with ACGME institutional and program requirements

Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date files for the program(s) including, but not limited to: PLAs; ADS; resident schedules; resident evaluation; faculty evaluations; program evaluations

Assists the Director of Medical Staff Services with various duties as tasked

Assists the Medical Staff Services Quality Review Coordinator with various duties as tasked

Assists the Medical Staff Services Credentialing Coordinator with various duties as tasked
