Provides genetic education, counseling, and psychological support to patients who due to a hereditary cancer syndrome may be at an increased risk for developing cancer.  Identifies families at risk, interprets information about the disorder, analyzes inheritance patterns, and reviews available options with the patient. May coordinate and support research activities within area of expertise.

The position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions.



  • Provides genetic counseling services on the TJUH campus.
  • Provides genetic counseling services at select Network institutions.
  • Identifies pts for whom genetic testing is appropriate.
  • Serves as “go to “ person for physicians and staff with genetic or familial risk related questions.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.



At least one year of experience in clinical genetics setting preferred but not mandatory.



PA license required or license to be obtained

Board Certified or Board Eligible
