Job Description
Watertown Regional Medical Center
Watertown Regional Medical Center, Wellness Works Department , is seeking an Exercise Physiologist. The Excersize Physiologist is responsible for developing individualized exercise prescriptions and education for Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness Works participants. This position schedules and coordinates new patient evaluations, develops exercise programming and facilitates inpatient education. This position will also actively promote and supervise the Peripheral Vascular Rehab Program. The Exercise Physiologist will also be active in working on programs with the fitness specialist such as personal training, PREP, exercise testing and the Exercise Works program. The Exercise Physiologist will assist the Wellness Works Lead with the development of community and corporate fitness classes and programming. Will also work in collaboration with all team members to provide exceptional patient care and to expand the scope of all the services in Wellness Works.
This is PRN position to assist with the coverage during a leave.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
ACSM Exercise Specialist or ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist required within 12 months of hire.
CPR and ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Minimum 2 years in fitness related field, preferred.
Experience with cardiac populations preferred.
Experience in Pulmonary Rehabilitation, stress testing or community health also preferred.
