What You Will Do:
Epic Project Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and coordination of Epic projects from onboarding through go live. Responsibilities include working with the project management office, information technology teams and Epic Leadership to review new requests for service and coordinate next steps and timelines. Responsible for ongoing project oversight, collaboration with other departments, escalation of concerns, mitigation of risks, completion of testing, education and support planning. Assures a post go live assessment is completed which includes what did and did not go well. Lessons learned should be captured and shared with the leadership team. Ensures use of appropriate project management tools. On Call Required.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree or BSN required for all new hires on or after 1/1/2017
Four years’ experience in analyst or healthcare field required
Certification & Licensures
Active State license for Registered Nurse or Licensed Practice Nurse if applicable
At least one Epic certification or two years of project management experience required at time of hire with a plan to obtain additional Epic certification or PMP certification within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists and follow a project plan required • High level understanding of report templates and user security with reports • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities. Ability to work under a tight timeline while maintaining professional demeanor and conduct required. • Competent in Microsoft Office required including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project and MS Access required • Strong verbal/written communication and follow up skills required • Works closely with Alliance partners to align when optimal • Extensive understanding of build challenges and day to day operations of all build analysts • Ability to interface effectively with all levels and across the organizational lines, including the business units required • Excellent analytical skills required • Technical knowledge of coordinating, configuring and building healthcare IT to drive quality improvement, meaningful use and safety goals required • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for health system EHR’s required • Ability to lead and mentor application teams required • Ability to work independently and collaboratively for content build/project/upgrade as delegated by project manager/director required • Experience in change management required • Experience in intra-system design highly preferred
