University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UMSRH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System and located in Easton, Maryland, is seeking an Nurse Practitioner (Employee Health Supervisor) to join the employee health team.

 

Job Specifics:

  • The successful candidate for this Manager role will be detail oriented, customer service focused, and have a basic knowledge of Occupational Health in a hospital setting
  • Directs and supervises performance of a group of employees engaged in similar functions and directs a major organization-wide work process
  • Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures
  • Work directly with the Human Resource Director to implement wellness initiatives
  • Infection prevention and experience facilitating flu/vaccine clinics across multiple locations
  • Regular meetings with the University of Maryland Medical System Employee Health Leadership
  • Provide clinical oversight, no primary care provider responsibilities
  • Partnership with Choice One (urgent care) for pre-employment health screenings
  • Office hours Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Requires 24/7 accountability, but generally has a traditional work schedule of Monday through Friday with day shifts.
  • 5 yrs. acute care setting experience required.

What You Need to Be Successful:

REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Master of Science degree, with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required.
  • Current state licensure or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years acute care experience required.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing patient care is required.
  • Meets requirements to maintain clinical privileges as a member of the Shore Regional Health Medical Center Medical Staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to support the development of excellent working relationships with line managers and departmental directors.
  • Knowledge and ability to provide interpretation of laboratory results and infectious disease processes to employees.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and of personal computer systems.
  • Demonstrated skills in performing assessments and health history reviews required.
  • Completes and maintains appropriate documentation and records.
  • Establishes appropriate medical diagnosis for acute, chronic or episodic health problems.
  • Ability to respond, investigate, identify and problem-solve Employee Health issues that require immediate and decisive action pertinent to employee job activities.
  • Must have a commitment to customers that continually focuses on improvement and enhancement to the service delivery processes.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and respects the rights of those being served and the confidentiality of all hospital and departmental documents.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
