What You Will Do:

The Director is responsible for supporting Valley Health Medical Group (VHMG) revenue cycle operations to maximize effective collections of VHMG revenue, as well as collaborating and supporting other health system leaders to identify and execute standard practices that maximize VHMG revenue opportunities, support VHMG management operations in their mission to create a consistent and extraordinary experience at Valley Health’s medical practices and drive the medical group towards excellence through the execution of improved workflows that reduce unnecessary work and move each employee to work at the top of their license/education. The director will partner with the VHMG Director of physician practice operation to establish a program that provide ongoing provider education around revenue cycle best practice and keep them informed of industry/regulatory changes. The Director reports to the Director Valley Physician Enterprises (VPE) and Valley Regional Enterprises (VRE) Revenue Cycle with dotted line reporting to the VHS Director Physician Practice Operations. Responsibilities include identification of operational variations that impact effective revenue capture and collections, identifying opportunities for improvement, as well as workflow assessments, process improvement planning, and execution. The Director will also liaison and collaborate with practice operations and other VHS partners to support change management relative to these projects with revenue cycle, clinical, and non-clinical stakeholders. This individual will be charged with creating a culture that promotes effective revenue cycle collections, outstanding patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and satisfaction. The Director will have the ability to mentor and coach individuals to improve on and champion an environment where a positive patient experience is the primary goal of every aspect of care provision.

What You Will Bring:

Bachelors required
Masters preferred

5+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management and billing experience in a large physician billing group or a hospital CBO containing a physician billing component required
Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and/or Rural Health Center (RHC) experience preferred?
Epic experience preferred
Coding knowledge preferred

Certification & Licensures
Epic Certifications in PB and/or HB preferred
