The Director of Talent Acquisition reports directly to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition to manage a team of recruiters to attract diverse talent from a wide range of group demographics to reflect the communities that Novant Health serves. This includes developing a world-class sourcing strategy, streamlining internal and external recruitment processes, and reimagining the talent assessment process in support of the healthcare system. This position will have various degrees of participation in recruitment operations, sourcing, strategic consulting, executive recruitment, workforce planning, candidate experience, and other areas as needed.


This position will be based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina or Charlotte, North Carolina; Wilmington, North Carolina is preferred.

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, BS or BA degree in human resources, business or related field of study. Required. Graduate Degree Preferred.
  • Experience: 8 years of successful and progressively responsible supervisory/management experience. Required.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
    • Demonstrated knowledge of current local, federal and state regulatory and governing standards for recruitment.
    • Broad-based experience in directing recruitment and executive recruitment operations to ensure talent attraction across diverse group demographics.
    • Speed to Market: Effectively works in a fast-paced work environment to deliver results.
    • World Class: Knowledgeable about HR best practices and future trends in healthcare and in industry.
    • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
    • Digital Fluency: Proficiency with iCIMS or similar ATS, Microsoft Office 365, specifically Power Point, Excel and Teams.
    • Highly Effective Communicator: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, appropriately and inclusively with key stakeholders at all levels.
    • Inclusion and Belonging: Foster a work environment of inclusion and belonging for all team members.
    • Judgment: Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results.
    • Display professional image in alignment with employer and recruitment brand.
    • Respect confidential information.

    • Bilingual in Spanish / English.
